If you're looking for basic amenities out of the elements, or simply do not want to set up a tent when you arrive the pod is for you, microwave, kettle and fridge included for your convenience, toilets and shower facilities a 10 second walk away. just roll out the sleeping bag you brought with you and you are good to go. small double bed pulls and acts as your seating when not in use as a bed. Barra Sands campsite is located at the north end of the island, where there are lots of beach's to explore, fresh sea air to breath and fantastic views to absorb.
There is a local bus and taxi service.
If you are traveling with your own vehicle, remember to keep to the left, as the roads are mainly single lanes with passing places to allow oncoming traffic to pass, the only exception to this is the sheep which have no road sense and occupy any side of the road they please.

There are lots of wonderful places to discover on Barra, from the fantastically white sandy beaches, to the rich and varied wildlife and if adventurous, using the local boat trips to other uninhabited islands.

Barra has a very relaxed atmosphere with lots of bars to visit. There is a local taxi service for getting about as well as a regular bus service around the island.
